Keely and I got our offer for our 1st travel nursing assignment last week while we were skiing in Colorado. Thru excitement, fear and tears we are ready to embark on this journey in our lives. We will be working in labor and delivery at Kaiser Permanante Hospital in San Diego, California. We are working on getting all of our paperwork, doctor appointments and FBI checks complete so we get our housing assignment.
This site is to keep all of our friends and loved ones up to speed with what's going on so...as Toby Keith would say- "go west young man, haven't you been told, California's full of whiskey, MEN and gold, sleeping out all night beneath the desert stars, with a dream in my eye and a prayer in my heart!"

I know it sounds silly, but one of the 1st things you should do is go to Old Town and take the trolly ride. The trolly takes you to Coronado (that's where all the fly boys hang) and you pass a bar called McP's--fab on thursdays! It takes you to the gas lamp district (all the night life), the huge 4 story outdoor mall, the zoo and the park, etc. It will help you get an idea of where things are. Leslie, Lauren, and Dawn are all available to take you guys around and show you some hook-ups. Leslie works at Sharp, Lauren at mary Birch. Both Lauren and Dawn live on Coronado and Les is near La Jolla--all places you need to know. Have a blast! I miss San Diego so much--I REALLY wish I was going with you! Abby T
